About Me

Hi, I'm Daniel Baliczek, also known as Mr Dev. Thank you for visiting my website. There aren't enough words to describe my love of technology, but I love finding creative solutions to difficult problems. I'm a hardworking, degreed developer with experience in many areas. My expertise is web development, but I have taken classes in Java, C#, Swift, and Objective C.

My career is just starting. I majored in Computer Information Systems and emphasized in Software Development while I was a student at Colorado State University-Pueblo. During my time at CSU-Pueblo, I was a Junior Developer/Technologist for the Instructional Technology Department. I worked in a team, where our main objective was to convert the website to a new Content Management System and a completely new and mobile responsive theme. To do this, we worked independently to convert different departments, while keeping each other informed of the progress we've made. Throughout this project, I improved my skills in front end web development, and with these skills, we completed the project and created a stunning and mobile responsive website for the University. While I was working here, I was granted the privilege of serving on the hiring committee for a the incoming Systems Administrator II.

My supervisors at the CSU-Pueblo Instructional Technology Department always challenged me to do more with my skills. This is where I learned about a statewide coding competition called GoCode Colorado. My supervisors and I created a team, where we went through all of the stages of software development, and we created an app/website called Hit's the Spot. Our application was a finalist in the 2017 competition. The following year, we went through the same process, worked twice as hard and created an application called Abodio. With our hard work, Abodio was one of the three winners of GoCode Colorado 2018. Content wih our achievements, our team disbanded and did not participate in the 2019 GoCode Colorado Competition.

After I graduated from CSU-Pueblo, I began my career and started working as a Frontend Web Developer at Junior Achievement USA. This is where I currently am, and I am working hard to support our ~90 area sites while also converting their sites to a new mobile responsive theme and convert them to a new content management system.

I am always up for a challenge as long as it helps expand my knowledge. I have been practicing with Angular, Nodejs, Express, MongoDB, and Ionic for the past 3 years and have been studying for a Security+ certification. If you have a project that you would like me to consult or take part in, feel free to contact me
